Golden State Cellular provided service to users in the eastern Sierra foothills before being purchased by Verizon in 2015. Unlike Verizon, Golden State was able to run more regional advertising, speaking to a unique community of Sierra Nevada mountain residents. Golden State was a committed key sponsor of many local community events for schools and other organizations. They were a great client with a sense of humor and willingness to be open to new marketing ideas.
